Slum Children Sports Talent and Education Development Society (SCSTEDS) from Vyasarpadi will be another new team in senior division league of the Chennai Football Association next season.
This became possible after it finished runner up to Hindustan Eagles club. What is significant about SCSTEDS is the way the side has progressed over the years. Registered as a non profit organization in 2000, SCSTEDS football exploits was the result of like-minded people wanting to nurture football as a means to enhance basic social standards and a tool for social change.
